Sometimes I do almost no writing — no prose, I mean. Instead I write software. There seems to be a pendulum which swings back and forth. There are times when I can barely write a word of text, other times when I can barely write a line of code. The pendulum seem sefinitly to have swung to the text side. I have posted nothing about software development in a couple of days, since I have done none. I just write. Yesterday I posted chapter Twenty-Two, on http://SocialTechNovel.SocialTechnology.ca/ without announcing it here. Today I not only posted Chapter Twenty-Three, but have just about finished the next chapter. This is how it goes, text, code, text, code. When next I do code, I’ll say so. — dpw
I continue to use the clickable image below, though it dates from a time when I naively ignored the dangers of Social Technology.
Like all truly advanced technology, these solutions to social problems will involve a lot of math, but must not require users to have special knowledge or skills. Programmers are invited to help with the development of open source libraries for applied social mathematics.
Non-technical accounts of all these topics as well as accessible accounts of the underlying math are on the front pages of a network of associated websites.
